Day 1 : Sightseeing in Manali
Arrive in Manali early in the morning and meet a representative for a smooth transfer to your hotel. Check in, enjoy a delicious breakfast, and relax for a while before starting your local sightseeing tour. Explore Manali’s top attractions, including the famous Hadimba Temple, a peaceful Buddhist monastery, Clubhouse, Siyali Mahadev Temple, Van Vihar, and the charming lanes of Old Manali. Capture beautiful moments as you stroll through these scenic spots. After a day full of exploration, return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay in Manali.
After breakfast, begin your journey from Manali to Kaza. Drive through the newly built Atal Tunnel under Rohtang Pass and enter the breathtaking Spiti landscape. Pass through the rugged terrains of Chatru and Batal before reaching Kunzum Pass at 14,931 feet, where you’ll feel the first chill of Spiti. Descend to Losar, the first village in Spiti Valley, and take a short break to enjoy a hot cup of tea and snacks. Continue your scenic drive through stunning mountain views before reaching Kaza. Check in to your hotel and relax for an overnight stay in Kaza.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before heading to explore some of the highest inhabited villages in the world. Begin with Komik, the highest village in Asia, which means “eye of a snow cock.” Next, visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, where you can send a postcard and meet the postmaster. Continue to Langza, known for its 1000-year-old Lang Temple and ancient fossils. Return to Kaza for lunch before visiting the famous Key Monastery, beautifully nestled in a bowl-shaped valley. Drive to Kibber, a charming village surrounded by snow-capped peaks, and then visit Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge, hanging over a deep gorge. For a breathtaking view of Kaza, head to the secluded village of Gette and tie a prayer flag for good luck. Return to Kaza in the evening for an overnight stay at the hotel.
After an early breakfast, begin your journey back home along the Kaza-Manali road. On the way, take a detour to visit the stunning Chandratal Lake, a hidden gem of Spiti. Surrounded by the majestic Chandra Bhaga mountain range, the lake changes colors throughout the day, creating a mesmerizing view. After capturing its breathtaking beauty, head to your campsite nearby. Enjoy a warm dinner under a sky full of twinkling stars. Overnight stay at the camps near Chandratal Lake.
After soaking in the breathtaking views of Chandratal Lake, begin your journey back to Manali. Drive through the scenic Atal Tunnel and reach Manali, where you can explore local markets and shop for souvenirs. Later, head to the Manali Bus Stand to board your bus to Delhi. Upon reaching Delhi in the evening, your unforgettable Spiti tour comes to an end.
